The international project “Moisey weinberg. The Passenger. Russian stage premiere” presented

On 13 April 2016 the international project was presented to Ekaterinburg journalists and the public at large.

From the stage of the theatre the project curator Andrei Ustinov, Editor-in-Chief, Muzykalnoye obozrenie national newspaper, and Aleksander Laskowski, from the Adam Mickiewicz Institute (Poland), told about Moisey Weinberg’s life and work, about the history of The Passenger and its foreign productions, as well as numerous events scheduled to precede the Russian stage premiere.
The presentation ended with a somewhat unique artistic experiment.

A dramatization of the radio play Passenger from Cabin Number 45 (the source of the opera libretto) was presented at the Ekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theater by the artists of the Sverdlovsk Academic Drama Theater: Honored Artist of Russia Irina Ermolova, Vyacheslav Kharkhota and Polina Saverchenko. Director: Dmitri Zimin.

An exposition telling about the opera creators and the participants of the upcoming production has been opened in the theatre foyer.
