Weinberg’s Symphony no. 8 “Kwiaty Polskie” performed

On 14 April 2016 Weinberg’s symphony Kwiaty Polskie (Polish Flowers) for tenor, mixed chorus and orchestra, Op. 83 in 10 parts, was performed within the framework of the project presentation.

The symphony was composed in 1964 to the texts of outstanding Polish poet Julian Tuwim drawn from his epic poem of the same title which he wrote in Paris during his immigration in 1940-1944.
